Welcome back. In this video, I'm going to show you how to customize your dashboard. So let's take a look.

So first off, we're here in the home dashboard for the administrator role and take notice that its things are actually broken down by columns, right? There's one column here. There's a second very large column here in the middle. And there's actually a third column here on the right. So this is one layout. You can actually change this layout. So if you go to the top right here under layout, you'll see you've got these various layouts.

Now, we're currently in this one, right? It's the thick middle column and the two smaller columns on either side. But let's go with two columns. So now we have a thin column here and a thicker column here. So if you find the three columns to be maybe a bit too clergy, there's too many things there. You can always go with a different layout. So let's go back to the most common one. That's the three column layout.

If you want to move these portlets around, for example, my calendar move down. So all you have to do is grab it. Just grab a piece of white space there and you can move it around, you can put it in. It'll give you this wireframe so you can move things and you just place it where you want to go. So let's say I want to swap my log on, audit with my reminders or back. Very simple.

Now, if you want to remove a portlet it could do that a few different ways. For example, let's get rid of my log audit. Let's say I go. I never use that portlet. I want to just get rid of it. You can literally just go remove and it will disappear. If you want to add a portlet, If you go up here on the top right and go to personalize that, come up with this little dashboard here. And first off, if you click down here under currently used it actually show you all the portlets that you currently have in use. Now, you probably can't see all these portlets, but if you scroll down on the page, they're there.

And this is another way that if you come across something, let's say subsidiary navigator. If you go, Well, I never use that portlet. You can just hit that X there and it will remove that portlet. And if you want to add one, go to standard content and you'll have all these different options and you can kind of scroll through them and add as many as you want. So let's say I want to add a KPI meter. So I click that and now I've got a little KPI meter down here. So if I close this, I have the meter, but I want the meter to be below reminders. Let's just swap these two.

Okay, so I've got my KPI meter down here, I've got my reminders up here and everything in place. And as the last thing I'm going to show you just briefly, I'm not going to go into too much detail, but for any one of your portlets you can also go to setup, which is right here the three dots and set up and it will give you some various features. It depends on the portlet, but you're basically going to change some of the parameters or potentially what you view in that portlet. So in this case, we're looking at the key performance indicators and you've got these various things that are shown in that portlet. So you can change one of these things and you can go, let's say, instead of this month, I want to show this week and I hit save and it will change that portlet.

So again, I'm not going to go into too much detail on how you're setting up every single one of these portlets. But for now, just know that is how you would go about doing that. So that's it for customizing your dashboard. I'll see you in the next video.
